Approaching the end of 1995 established PT. Jasa Jejaring Wasantara, which then acquired an ISP license in 1996 from The Minister of Post and Telecommunication of The Republic of Indonesia. Embracing the Sembawang Media Pte. Ltd Singapore, the company operating Pacific Internet Singapore, PT. Jasa JejaringWasantara launched the Pacific Internet Indonesia on January 24, 1997, with web domain pacific.net.id.The experiences of Pacific Internet Singapore considerably contribute in the early years of PacificLink.

The name of Pacific Link was officially applied since May 1999, the year when PT. Jasa Jejaring Wasantara halted the collaboration with Pacific Internet Singapore in any means. Yet, the nickname of Mister PInter is still being used, as well as the domain pacific.net.id, for identifying Pacific Link since the time of establishment up to now. The word 'Mister' is an abbreviation of Manajemen Information System Terpadu (Integrated Management Information System), while the 'PInter' is taken from Pacific Internet. The existing Board of Commissioner is an ideal combination of IT business
and telecommunication experts.

Pacific Link, Internet Service Provider (ISP) yang telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1997, ikut dalam kancah pemanfaatan teknologi ini. Kami menyediakan berbagai layanan berbasis internet dan teknologi informasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan tidak hanya oleh perusahaan dan instansi pemerintah, melainkan juga oleh para individu yang modern.

Berawal dari bisnis teknologi informasi yang cukup lama digeluti, sejumlah wiraswasta dengan visi yang tajam melihat bahwa bisnis di bidang Telematika (Telekomunikasi dan Informatika) / ICT (Information and Communication Technology) adalah bisnis masa depan. Dengan menggandeng Sembawang Media Pte.Ltd Singapore, sebuah grup perusahaan yang mengoperasikan Pacific Internet Singapore, tahun 1996 diluncurkanlah nama Pacific Internet di Indonesia. Setelah diadakan persiapan yang cukup, maka pada 24 Januari 1997 resmi dioperasikannya Pacific Internet di Indonesia. Pengalaman Pacific Internet Singapore yang dikenal hingga sekarang sebagai ISP terbesar di Singapore turut mewarnai awal perjalanan Pacific Link.

Nama Pacific Link resmi digunakan sejak Mei 1999, saat PT. Jasa Jejaring Wasantara (JJW), perusahaan yang menaungi, melepaskan semua ikatan kerja sama baik dalam bentuk saham maupun waralaba. Namun demikian sebutan PInter yang telah digunakan sejak awal tetap merupakan sebutan akrab Pacific Link hingga saat ini. Para pemegang saham sekarang merupakan kombinasi yang sangat ideal karena berasal dari lingkungan bisnis teknologi telematika.
